My Story.
For most of my life, I felt different—intensely perceptive, emotionally tuned in, able to make intuitive leaps that others found unusual, yet forgetful, disorganised, and constantly battling time. I could hyperfocus for hours without pause, yet struggle with basic tasks or lose track of key details. Despite consistently delivering results, it often felt like I was working twice as hard to meet expectations in a world that didn’t make sense to me.
In late 2023, after encouragement from a friend and fellow ADHDer, I received a formal diagnosis. That day—sunny and ordinary—marked a profound turning point. Finally, I had an explanation for why life had felt so overwhelming, despite external success. But what followed wasn’t clarity and relief alone—it was also grief, frustration, and the question: What now?
When I turned to the internet for answers, the narrative was overwhelmingly deficit-based—struggles with focus, memory, organisation, emotion. But what those lists missed were the strengths: creativity, empathy, crisis calm, rapid learning, and unique insight. ADHD is not a flaw—it’s a different operating system.
With this new understanding, I began to reflect on my 14-year career in Recruitment and Talent Acquisition, where I worked across agency and internal roles, placing candidates from graduates to executives across industries including finance, legal, compliance, design, and marketing. I realised just how much I had been masking to survive in the neurotypical workforce—and how many others were likely doing the same.
That insight led to the creation of Thriving Inclusion Coaching.
I now combine my recruitment expertise, my role on the Executive Leadership Team at ADHD Australia, and my lived experience as a neurodivergent professional to support two groups:
Individuals with ADHD navigating the complex world of career development, job searching, and workplace challenges.
Organisations and leaders seeking to build inclusive, neurodiversity-aware cultures that unlock the full potential of their teams.
Whether you’re exploring a career change, facing challenges at work, or striving to lead an inclusive organisation, I offer practical guidance grounded in empathy, expertise, and lived experience.
At Thriving Inclusion Coaching, I don’t just accept difference—I help you harness it.
